create hope project 2012

Handwoven peace silk from India used for support, allowing light to pass through. Hope expands the energy of light ... One contribution received, a small Japanese rice paper scroll was bound in red thread and hand sewn on the support using the I Ching grid for placement.

one spoken blessing dropping a black stone into the bowl of light.

creating space to honor all that slipped away .......

"…and Coach visited his son at the hospice house run by the two hairdressers. He came often to visit…to talk…

to re-build a bridge to the son's heart, remembering him as the little boy playing every kind of ball in the yard with him, the father, the Coach to hundreds of other father's sons…forgetting the later-on parts where his son spent more time in jail then at a job, and more money on heroin then a college education…

they were father and son, son and father, and really no words were even needed…

and the hairdressers said he was the only father who had ever visited a son in their home…and when the son died,

the Coach cried as deeply as any dad would have, and they all hugged as hard as people who have too much love left to give." - Linda E
